Epiphany, also known as Theophany, commemorates the appearing or revelation of God incarnate in Jesus Christ. Traditionally, it is celebrated with as much, if not more, solemnity than Christmas. It also marks the Twelfth Day of Christmas. This directed retreat will include periods of silent prayer, chanting, and reflections on the salvific events celebrated during this holy time of year to include the coming of the Magi to the Christ child, the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan, and the miracle at Cana. It culminates in the Mass of the Epiphany and Great Blessing of Waters followed by a Twelfth Night brunch on Sunday.
